Priyancka Ghate, an accomplished Bharatanatyam performer, teacher, and choreographer, has dedicated over two decades to mastering the art form of Indian Classical dance. With a specialisation in Bharatanatyam, Priyancka’s exceptional expertise lies in her expressive gestures and facial expressions, as well as her impeccable sense of rhythm and graceful stage presence.

Not only is Priyancka an exceptional performer, but she also has a remarkable talent for teaching and inspiring her students. Her ability to connect with her students, especially the young ones, enables her to train them in a nurturing and effective manner. Priyancka’s teaching skills have garnered immense appreciation, as she successfully instills her love for dance and imparts her knowledge at Sunartanam – A Performing Arts Space in JLT, Dubai, a KHDA approved performing arts institute.

In addition to her dance prowess, Priyancka has a passion for writing poetry. Recently, she has experimented with blending Bharatanatyam with contemporary themes by incorporating her own lyrical compositions. Priyancka received her traditional Bharatanatyam training in the Tanjore Baani style from her respected Gurus, Guru Dr. Sucheta Chapekar and the late Guru Mrs. Meera Pauskar. She further honed her skills in Kuchipudi under the guidance of Guru Yashoda Rao Thakore in Hyderabad.

Priyancka holds a Masters in Bharatanatyam from Khairagarh University and has completed a two-year course from Lalit Kala Kendra in Pune. She is also certified in Performing Arts by the UGC NET. Her vast experience encompasses solo and group performances, earning her numerous accolades worldwide for her enthralling performances and impactful productions.

To Priyancka, classical dance is a celebration of our physical existence, expressed through a stylized movement vocabulary rooted in tradition, leading to new creations. For her, it is a transformative journey towards self-realisation and divinity.

Priyancka is dedicated to becoming an exceptional teacher and aspires to be a guru in the future. While a teacher can instruct dance steps, a guru can demonstrate them with depth and understanding. A teacher imparts knowledge, but a guru offers a unique perspective.

Priyancka takes great care in executing each dance piece, infusing her own distinctive style. Her choreographies and dance productions are meticulously planned, capturing the attention and appreciation of art enthusiasts and those with a discerning eye for aesthetics.
